1 Dead in San Jose Motorcycle Crash on 680 Freeway and Jackson Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (September 15, 2020) – Late Sunday night, a man died in a motorcycle accident on 680 Freeway and Jackson Avenue.
The CHP officers responded at 10:32 p.m. in the northbound lanes of 680 Freeway. The incident happened south of South Jackson Avenue, said Officer Damian Cistaro.
Upon arrival, the officers located a vehicle and motorcycle blocking the No. 1 lane. They also declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the CHP officers issued a Sig-alert at 10:44 p.m. that shut down all lanes, except the No. 1 lane.
Furthermore, the Sig-Alert rerouted the southbound 280 Freeway traffic onto northbound Highway 101.
According to reports, the San Jose police and firefighters also came to the scene.
