CHP Investigates Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on State Route 41 in Madera

Madera, CA (March 15, 2022) – Monday noon, a 24-year-old male from Fresno died in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 41.

The fatal crash in Madera happened at around 12:30 p.m. on March 14.

CHP said the driver from Fresno was driving a 2002 Toyota Tacoma on SR-41 southbound north of Road 406 at an undetermined speed. 

Then a driver of the 2016 Nissan Altima, Kimberly Sciaqua was heading on SR-41 northbound approaching the Toyota’s location.

The male driver made an unsafe turning movement to the right and allowed the Toyota to go off the west roadway edge of SR-41 then rotated in a clockwise direction directly into the path of the Nissan.

The Toyota driver sustained fatal injuries and died at the crash scene.

Meanwhile, Sciaqua remained uninjured. 

Police said alcohol and or drugs do not appear to have been a contributing factor in this crash. 

Moreover, both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of this crash.
