1 Killed in Interstate 505 Vehicle Crash [Vacaville, CA]

One Fatality in Vehicle Crash on Interstate 505 Vacaville

 
Vacaville, CA (September 11, 2020) – Friday morning, one person died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 505. Traffic backed up along westbound Interstate 80.
 
The incident happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. just west of the Interstate 505 connector.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the cause of the crash is still unclear. However, they confirmed at least one person died at the scene.
 
Drivers who passed by the crash scene captured what appeared to be a vehicle in a ditch just off the freeway. Smoke was visibly coming from the wreck.
 
Meanwhile, traffic is backing up to Leisure Town Road. Temporary closure of roadways has been put in place. It’s unclear when the road will be cleared.
 
Further investigation is ongoing.
