Police Investigate Fatal Watercraft Collision on Lake Perris

Perris, CA (December 5, 2024) -Authorities continued their investigation Thursday into a fatal two watercraft collision on Lake Perris.

The incident occurred shortly before 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Press-Enterprise. When officials arrived, they found the watercraft unoccupied. 

A nearby boater had already rescued the occupants from the water and was performing CPR.

Rangers took over and transported a 24-year-old woman from Highland to the shore, where she was pronounced dead. 

Her identity has not yet been released.

Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson Maggie Haberman stated that the other individual involved declined medical treatment.

Authorities have not provided descriptions of the watercraft involved in the collision.
