1 Dead in Hollywood Auto Accident on Sunset Boulevard and Roxbury Road

HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 4, 2023) – Monday morning, 1 person died in a tragic Tesla X crash on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Roxbury Road on the border of Hollywood and West Hollywood.

The LAPD revealed that the vehicle was occupied by four people in the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the car caught fire after going off-road as they traveled west on Sunset Boulevard. Then, the vehicle crashed into a lamp post and a tree before striking a restaurant patio.

Then, the driver exited the car and escaped the scene before it caught fire.

Moreover, a vehicle believed to have been following picked up the driver.

Officers said that the driver has been located at a hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the two patients transported to the hospital are females who were sitting in the back of the Tesla.

Also, one person is in critical condition, and the other is stable.

Officers confirmed that one of the people who died at the scene was female.

“From what we see behind us someone died inside of a burning car – and the driver was picked up by people following him,” revealed Sgt. Bruce Borihanh, an LAPD public information officer.

Reports said that the damaged restaurant is Pink Taco.

Also, the crash shut down the area around the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Roxbury Road but has since reopened.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
