Motorcyclist Dead in Crash at Vincent Avenue and Puente Avenue
WEST COVINA, CA (July 16, 2019) – A person died in a motorcycle crash at Vincent Avenue and Puente Avenue, Tuesday morning. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the West Covina Police Department, the incident happened at about 7:00 AM. An eastbound vehicle made a left turn in front of the westbound motorcyclist, causing the motorcycle to slam into the rear quarter-panel of the vehicle.
Emergency responders rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital with severe head injuries. Unfortunately, the victim later died of injuries sustained in the crash. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in the collision.
Investigators ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal crash. Police will release additional information to the public once it becomes available.
