1 Dead in Manor Auto Accident on US Highway 290 and Greenbury Drive

MANOR, TX (August 28, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a person died in a horrific vehicle crash on US Highway 290 and Greenbury Drive.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. when a white Sprinter van and a small Sedan both headed westbound on US Highway 290 and Greenbury Drive. Then, the Sedan was rear-ended at an intersection. 

A sedan allegedly veered off the highway and ended up in a ditch, resulting in the driver’s death at the scene. Manor PD reported that the driver of the white Sprinter van involved was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. 

As the investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made. Emergency responders from Travis County ESD 12 and Austin-Travis County EMS were on the scene. U.S. Hwy 290 and Greenbury Drive, which were temporarily closed to traffic, have since reopened.
