1 Dead in Sonoma Boat Crash near Salmon Creek

SONOMA, CA (November 20, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a horrific boat accident near Salmon Creek killed a person.

The incident happened at 1:45 p.m. when the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a distressed boater.

Reports said that a boat carrying five people capsized near Salmon Creek, close to Bodega Bay.  

Authorities confirmed that one person died, and the other four were rescued and transported to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been disclosed.  

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
