Person Dies after Fiery Crash on San Jacinto Avenue
NUEVO, CA (September 15, 2019) – One person was killed in a fiery crash on San Jacinto Avenue, early Sunday morning. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened in the 29000 block of San Jacinto Avenue, at about 1:10 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a white truck and a blue Ford pickup collided. A third vehicle, described as a gray SUV, got involved in the collision and caught fire.
Emergency responders quickly doused the fire and found a severely injured victim inside the SUV. Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not other injuries were sustained.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities encourage witnesses to cooperate as soon as possible. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
