ARLINGTON, TX (December 15, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on N Watson Road near State Highway 360.

The incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on N Watson Road near State Highway 360 when an SUV hit another vehicle and several pedestrians.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 31-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman lying on the ground, while a 34-year-old woman in a BMW X1 was trapped in her vehicle and required extrication.

All three individuals were transported to the hospital, where the man was pronounced dead. Both women remain in critical condition.

According to investigators, the crash began when a 34-year-old woman driving a 2016 Hyundai Veloster lost control of her vehicle and went off the road. She called family members for assistance.

A 31-year-old man arrived in a 2004 GMC Yukon and parked in the right lane. As he and the 42-year-old woman worked to attach a tow cable between the Yukon and the Veloster, a BMW traveling at high speed struck the two individuals and the Yukon.

Arlington police continue to investigate the incident and have not ruled out the possibility of alcohol as a factor. No charges have been filed at this time.
