CHANDLER, AZ (December 4, 2024) – Monday morning, a brutal pedestrian crash on Interstate 10 and Loop 202.

The incident happened at about 12:45 a.m. on Interstate 10 and Loop 202 San Tan.

The crash occurred when the driver of a passenger car exited his vehicle for unknown reasons while it was partially in the traffic lane.

A pickup truck hit the man as he stood outside his car. The truck driver remained at the scene, administering CPR until paramedics arrived.

Authorities confirmed the victim, a man in his late 30s, was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

The ramp providing access to both eastbound and westbound Loop 202 was temporarily closed for the initial investigation.
