1 Dead in Orland Vehicle Crash on County Road 23 and County Road M
ORLAND, CA (June 25, 2024) – Monday morning, a 46-year-old woman died in a brutal auto accident on County Road 23 and County Road M.
Reports said that the incident happened at about 8:00 a.m. when a 46-year-old woman from Orland drove a 2004 Honda Accord east on County Road 24 at an unknown speed, approaching a stop sign for the intersection with County Road M.
Then, a 27-year-old woman from Orland drove a 2016 Jeep Rubicon southbound on County Road M, driving through the intersection with County Road 24 which does not have any stop signs or traffic signals.
Reports confirmed that the driver of the Honda let her vehicle travel through the intersection with a stop sign for eastbound traffic while the Jeep was driving near the intersection heading south.
As a result, the front end of the Jeep crashed with the driver’s side of the Accord. Then, the Jeep spun in a counterclockwise direction until it rested, partially blocking the intersection.
The collision forced the Honda in a south-easterly direction, causing it to spin and come to a stop facing west, just east of County Road M.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Honda was transported to Glenn Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Moreover, the driver of the Jeep was taken to Enloe Hospital, where she received treatment for minor injuries.
Sweet Lawyers extends our condolences to the family and community of the victim.
