1 Dead in Somis Auto Accident on Highway 118 and Aggen Road

SOMIS, CA (February 26, 2024) – Sunday morning, a 38-year-old Oxnard woman died in a horrific solo-vehicle crash on Highway 118 and Aggen Road.

The crash happened just before 10:00 a.m. on Highway 118 and Aggen Road near Somis, said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Robert Jackson.

Reports said that the car veered off the road and hit a utility pole.

As a result, responders took the vehicle’s passenger to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura. However, the passenger succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Also, officers do not believe that alcohol or other substances were involved. Also, the authorities made no arrests.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
