1 Dead in Kansas City Motorcycle Accident on NE 45th Terrace and N Lister

KANSAS CITY, MO (August 8, 2024) – Monday, a woman died in a horrific motorcycle crash on NE 45th Terrace and N Lister.

The incident involving a motorcyclist and a motorized scooter happened at NE 45th Terrace and N. Lister.

Kansas City police reported that a preliminary investigation showed a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading east on NE 45th Terrace. 

As the motorcycle approached the hill near NE 45th Terrace and N. Lister, the rider noticed a motorized scooter on the road. Attempting to avoid a collision, the rider was thrown from the motorcycle, which then crashed into the unoccupied scooter. 

The scooter rider was critically injured and later died at the hospital. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
