Police Searching for Hit-And-Run Driver And Theft After Crash on Paseo Boulevard in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO (July 17, 2024) – On Wednesday, one person died in a hit-and-run crash on Paseo Boulevard.

Reportedly, a person died while attempting to prevent their truck from being stolen on Wednesday, according to Kansas City, Missouri police. 

Just after 1 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run crash in the 2900 block of Paseo Boulevard. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that a suspect was trying to steal a white Ford F-350. The victim attempted to stop the theft, but the suspect drove away, dragging the victim. 

This led to the victim being dislodged from the truck and thrown onto the pavement. 

The suspect fled the scene in the stolen truck, and the victim died at the scene.
