1 Dead in Sacramento Bicycle Accident near 24th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 5, 2020) – A person died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident near 24th Street on February 2.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. near 24th Street and Florin Road. Officers responded to the vehicle-pedestrian crash and located a woman critically injured in the intersection.
First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The investigators also found out that she rode a bicycle during the collision. Meanwhile, the involved vehicle fled the scene. However, detectives noted that the car could be a small sedan, possibly white or silver.
The victim’s identity is still unreleased due to pending family notification.
The authorities are also urging anyone with information to contact Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
