1 Killed in Gulf Freeway Pedestrian Accident [Houston, TX]

Houston, TX (April 10, 2023) – At about  11:45 p.m. on Saturday, a man lost his life following a Gulf Freeway pedestrian accident.

The fatal accident took place on the northbound lanes near Telephone Road.

Investigators said the pedestrian was seen on surveillance video walking back and forth on the main lanes of the highway before he was fatally struck. The driver apparently tried to stop before the impact.

Moreover, the authorities stated that the driver showed signs of intoxication, however, it’s not yet known what charges could be filed because according to them the victim should not have been on the freeway.

Officers are investigating to determine if alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
