SACRAMENTO, CA (August 22, 2021) – Saturday morning, a person died in a fiery crash on Highway 50 near Howe Avenue.
 
The CHP came to the scene just before 7:50 a.m. on westbound Highway 50 near Howe Avenue onramp.
 
Upon the officers’ arrival, they located two vehicles that collided and had caught fire in the No. 3 lane.
 
According to the CHP, a Jeep broke down in the No. 3 lane. Then, a Ford failed to see the disabled vehicle and hit it. As a result, both vehicles caught fire.
 
Furthermore, the CHP confirmed that the Jeep driver died in the fire.
 
Meanwhile, the Ford driver suffered no injuries.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
