1 Dead and 1 Injured in Anaheim Auto Accident on 57 Freeway and Lincoln Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (August 25, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died in a dump truck crash on 57 Freeway and Lincoln Avenue.
The incident occurred just before 12:40 p.m. on southbound 57 Freeway and Lincoln Avenue.
According to reports, the dump truck crashed into a vehicle that had pulled over on the off-ramp. Then, it careened across Lincoln Avenue and hit two more vehicles. Then, it continued through a carport, an apartment building, and then to a second building.
CHP Officer Florentino Olivera revealed that the truck hit a resident of the second building. As a result, the person died at the scene.
Responders took the dump truck driver to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the series of crashes complained of pain. Thus, responders took the driver to an area hospital.
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
