1 Dead in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Truxtun Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 20, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Truxtun Avenue.
 
The incident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Truxtun Avenue.
 
According to reports, a woman walked across the road mid-block outside of a crosswalk. Then, a Hall’s Ambulance maintenance vehicle struck her.
 
Meanwhile, responders took the woman to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
 
Moreover, the maintenance vehicle driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation.
 
Also, the authorities do not believe that speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash. Furthermore, they urged anyone with information about the incident to contact BPD at 661-327-7111.
