SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (January 31, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a person died in a hit-and-run crash on State Route 120 and French Camp Road.
 
The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m. near State Route 129 and French Camp Road, in front of Parks Wholesale Nursery.
 
When the authorities arrived, they located emergency personnel initiating CPR on a pedestrian struck by a car. However, they declared that person dead at the scene just after 6:10 a.m.
 
Then, the vehicle driver fled the crash scene.
 
Meanwhile, evidence from the scene helped the authorities determine that the vehicle was a 2005-07 Ford Focus.
 
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information on the crash to contact CHP at 209-938-4800.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
