1 Dead in Ventura County Accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Sycamore Canyon Road

 
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (September 12, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, a person died in a two-vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Sycamore Canyon Road.
 
The incident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway, between Sycamore Canyon Road and Deer Creek Road. According to reports, one vehicle had rolled over.
 
Just before 1:30 p.m., firefighters declared one person dead at the scene. Meanwhile, three others suffered critical injuries while a fourth patient sustained minor injuries. Also, responders extricated some of the patients from the wreckage.
 
According to reports, two Ventura County helicopters responded to the scene. Also, the Ventura County Medical Center airlifted one person. Meanwhile, responders took two other patients to local hospitals.
 
During the investigation, the authorities shut down the highway in both directions for hours. By 5:40 p.m., lanes had reopened.
 
Also, the CHP’s Ventura office handles the crash investigation.
