1 Dead in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 805 and Palm Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 24, 2022) – Sunday night, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 805 and Palm Avenue.
The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 805, south of Palm Avenue.
When the authorities arrived in the Otay Mesa West area of San Diego, they found a pedestrian down on the freeway.
According to reports, a northbound van struck that person. Then, responders declared that person dead at the scene.
Moreover, officers blocked the number three and four lanes just a few feet before the Palm Avenue off-ramp.
After the crash, the van pulled off to the shoulder with airbags deployed.
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined why the person was in lanes of traffic or what led up to the crash.
