1 Dead and 1 Injured in Ontario Auto Accident on Interstate 15 and Interstate 10
ONTARIO, CA (March 13, 2022) – Saturday morning, a person died in a DUI crash on Interstate 15 and Interstate 10.
The incident occurred at around 3:07 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 and Interstate 10.
According to reports, a northbound black car, possibly an SUV turned around on the southbound Interstate 15 lanes. Moreover, it happened near Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road (toll-road area). Then, the driver went into the fast lane, in the center divider until it crashed into a guard-rail head-on. As a result, the vehicle landed upside down and scattered debris in the traffic lanes. Moreover, the debris hit at least three passing vehicles.
When the authorities arrived, they found two unconscious people in the vehicle.
After extracting one person from the wreckage, responders transported that person to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the condition of the injured remains unknown. Also, officers confirmed that one person died at the scene.
Moreover, officers confirmed that they will evaluate the driver for possible DUI.
The crash shut down the three left lanes for over 3 hours for the investigation and clean-up. Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Office handles the investigation.
