LAFAYETTE, CA (October 28, 2020) – Monday afternoon, a person died in a crash on Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road in Lafayette.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 4:38 p.m. It happened on westbound state Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road.
 
Reports revealed that a 57-year-old man driving a 2017 GMC Sierra veered off the road. Then, his vehicle went into a dirt embankment and crashed into a metal pole.
 
When the responders arrived, they pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
 
The crash is under investigation.
