1 Dead in Hollywood Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Vermont Avenue
HOLLYWOOD, CA (April 27, 2022) – Monday night, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near Vermont Avenue.
The incident happened at about 9:25 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Vermont Avenue.
According to reports, a Chevrolet Silverado struck a male pedestrian in the far left lane of the freeway.
As a result, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the CHP asked Caltrans to shut down traffic on the freeway for about an hour.
At about 10:20 p.m., the two far-right lanes of the freeway reopened. However, the left lanes remained closed for several hours.
Moreover, officers urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.
