1 Dead in San Rafael Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 and Freitas Parkway
SAN RAFAEL, CA (March 17, 2022) – Monday morning, a person died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 and Freitas Parkway.
The incident happened at around 3:43 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 and north of Freitas Parkway.
According to reports, a 2004 transit van traveling in the left lane noticed a person in the lane. Then, he failed to swerve or stop before hitting the pedestrian.
After the crash, the driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Meanwhile, they declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. At this time, their identity remains undisclosed.
Furthermore, the crash shut down three lanes of southbound 101 for the investigation.
