GRANADA HILLS, CA (August 30, 2022) – Early Monday, a person died in a pedestrian crash on 118 Freeway near Woodley Avenue.
 
The incident occurred just after 1:00 a.m. on westbound 118 Freeway near Woodley Avenue on-ramp.
 
According to a witness, a man wearing black clothes walked in the right lanes. Then, a black sedan struck a right shoulder wall and overturned onto its side.
 
Then, at around 1:24 a.m., a white Tesla Model Y driver reported that he may have struck a body on the westbound side of the freeway.
 
When authorities arrived, they declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the black sedan was transported to Holy Cross Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Furthermore, the crash shut down at least two right lanes of the westbound 118 Freeway for several hours.
 
By 6:00 a.m., all lanes of the 118 Freeway reopened.
