1 Dead in Fallbrook Car Collision on 15 Freeway
FALLBROOK, CA (November 29, 2019) – A person died in a car collision on 15 Freeway and Mission Road on November 28.
According to reports, the initial collision occurred at 10:10 a.m. A Ford Mustang spun out and hit the center divider on southbound 15 Freeway, south of Mission Road, North County Fire Protection District spokesman John Choi said.
Emergency responders focused on the Mustang’s driver with minor injuries. After that, a Crown Victoria driver lost control and hit an ambulance at the scene at 10:32 a.m.
The impact killed the Crown Victoria’s passenger.
Meanwhile, its driver sustained major injuries and went to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. Meanwhile, the occupant of the ambulance, the Mustang driver and emergency personnel, both suffered minor injuries in the next collision.
The incident shut down three left lanes of southbound 15 Freeway.
