Male Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Collision near Eubank Avenue in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, CA (May 7, 2020) – Early Tuesday morning, an unidentified victim was killed in a bicycle accident on Pacific Coast Highway.
Los Angeles Police first responded to the collision near Eubank Avenue around 5:25 a.m., after receiving multiple 911 calls. According to reports, two separate vehicles struck a male bicyclist as he was traveling on the roadway.
Due to the impact of the collision, the bicyclist was then ejected onto the roadway. It was later confirmed that the bicyclist crossed the street despite a red light.
In addition, the two drivers remained on scene and cooperated with officials. However, their identity has not been released.
The surrounding area on Pacific Coast Highway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
