Person Killed and 1 Other Injured after Car and Motorcycle Crash on Highway 9
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2019) – One person was killed in a motorcycle crash on Highway 9, early Saturday evening. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 5:30 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a four-door sedan and a motorcycle collided near Redwood Gulch Road.
Emergency responders pronounced one victim dead at the scene. Authorities did not confirm whether the fatal victim was riding the motorcycle or was in the four-door sedan. Meanwhile, another person suffered unspecified injuries in the collision.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
