1 Person Dead and 1 Critical After Crash on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA (October 4, 2024) – On Friday, one person died and another sustained critical injuries in a crash on the 91 Freeway.
Anaheim police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred Friday after a driver crashed into a light pole during a police pursuit, killing one person and injuring another.
The pursuit began when officers from the Anaheim Police Department chased a Ford Ranger on the Artesia (91) Freeway.
The driver exited the freeway at 1219 N. State College Road around 12:15 a.m., according to Sgt. Matt Sutter of the Anaheim Police.
During the pursuit, the truck crashed into a pole. Firefighters arrived at the scene and pronounced one person dead.
Another victim was transported to a hospital, but their condition is currently unknown.
Authorities have not yet released the names, genders, or ages of those involved.
