EL CAJON, CA (April 20, 2022) – Monday night, a person died in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 8 and State Route 67.
 
The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 8 and State Route 67.
 
According to reports, a man wandered in traffic on Interstate 8. Then, a 36-year-old woman driving a Kia Optima, a 28-year-old male driver of a Dodge Charger, and a third vehicle hit the pedestrian.
 
As a result, the male pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
At this time, the authorities suspect that drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash.
