Deadly Cajon Pass Fuel Tanker Truck Crash on Interstate 15 and Oak Hill Road

 
CAJON PASS, CA (November 23, 2021) – Monday morning, a person died in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 15 and Oak Hill Road.
 
The incident involving a vehicle and a fuel tanker occurred at around 6:44 a.m. Moreover, it happened on Interstate 15, south of Oak Hill Road.
 
When the firefighters arrived, they found a silver Hyundai Accent fully engulfed with fire as it spread into the vegetation.
 
Thus, they immediately put off the fire. However, they declared one person dead at the scene.
 
Reports confirmed that the 18-wheeler truck was disabled on the right shoulder. Then, the silver four-door sedan tried to pass another semi and crashed into the fuel truck. Initial reports said that the driver traveled recklessly before the crash.
 
As a result, the CHP shut down all lanes on northbound Interstate 15 for around an hour. By 9:42 a.m., all lanes reopened.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification. Also, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
