BAKER, CA (August 7, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, a person died in an auto accident on Interstate 15 near Halloran Springs Road.
 
The incident occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 15 near mile marker 148, near Halloran Springs Road.
 
According to reports, the crash involved a Mercedes-Benz and a semi-tractor-trailer.
 
Some witnesses revealed that the Mercedes-Benz sedan sped before the crash. Then, it struck the semi and became wedged underneath.
 
As a result, a male person in the car died at the scene. Meanwhile, a female occupant of the vehicle was pregnant.
 
Thus, responders transported the female patient via Mercy Air #21 to Las Vegas University Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, the big rig driver suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
Furthermore, the crash shut down the #3 lane for some time while crews worked at the scene.
