1 Dead in Anaheim Car Accident on 5 Freeway
ANAHEIM, CA (June 19, 2019) – A car stuck a person after they were involved in a car accident on 5 Freeway on June 17 in Anaheim.
The incident happened on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway, south of Euclid Street at around 9:00 p.m.
The CHP revealed an initial collision first occurred on the southbound lanes. One of the people involved in the collision got out of their car. After that, the individual jumped the center divider and a northbound vehicle stuck the victim in oncoming traffic.
Authorities pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The crash stalled traffic on both sides of the freeway. Before 11:00 p.m., the southbound lanes reopened. Meanwhile, the northbound lanes reopened after midnight.
At this time, police did not released any additional information regarding the accident or who many be charged. More information will be given after the investigation into the accident continues.
