CHP Investigates a Fatal Crash on Interstate 215 in Moreno Valley

Moreno Valley, CA (November 12, 2021) – Friday morning, one person died, and six others sustained injuries in a crash on Interstate 215.

The fatal crash in Moreno Valley happened at around 7:03 a.m. November 12, near the southbound I-215 transition road and eastbound state Route 60.

The California Highway Patrol said the minivan was driving in the same direction as the truck when it veered directly into its path, was rear-ended, and spun out of control into a guardrail at a gore point between the I-215 and SR-60.

As a result, one of the Toyota Sienna’s eight occupants died in the crash. EMS transported six others to a nearby hospital. 

Meanwhile, the occupant of the Isuzu truck was not injured and remained on the scene to cooperate in the investigation.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation, but alcohol was not believed to be a factor.

Further investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
