Deadly Rollover Crash on 10 Freeway in Desert Center
DESERT CENTER, CA (June 27, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were seriously injured following a rollover crash Thursday night in Desert Center.
The crash happened around 6:48 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway. Dispatchers arrived to the area just West of Corn Springs Road.
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, one person was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
Three other patients suffered major injuries and later were flown to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.
The CHP is still piecing together exactly what led up to the crash but do not believe any other vehicles were involved.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
