Driver Dead and Passengers Hospitalized after Rollover Crash near Highway 180
SANGER, CA (August 5, 2018) – A man was killed early Sunday afternoon and two others were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on South Frankwood Avenue. His identity and city of residence were not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.
As per reports, the deadly incident took place at 1:05 PM near Highway 180. A Camry was heading north on Frankwood when, for unknown reasons, it side-swiped a Jeep at a two-way stop.
The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to roll down the road.
The driver of the Jeep sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Two passengers inside the Jeep were transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries ranging from minor to major. There were no updates regarding the condition of the Camry driver.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation at this time. No further details have been provided to the public.
