Hemet Two-Vehicle Crash Kills 1, Injures 2 on Whittier Avenue
HEMET, CA (April 8, 2019) – One person was killed, and two were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Soboba Street Saturday morning.
Authorities received calls about the accident just east of Hemet, around 10:30 a.m. First responders arrived at the intersection of Soboba Street, and East Whittier Avenue soon after.
To begin, the two vehicles involved were identified as a white Kia Sedan and a white Chevy Trailblazer. Upon officers arrival, both vehicles were found veered off the roadway due to the impact of the collision.
Moreover, several witnesses and good Samaritans stopped to offer aid and comfort to the injured victims. 911 callers initially reported that a total of three people were injured in the crash. However, one was consequently suffering from life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Around 10:45 a.m., the severely wounded victim succumbed to their injuries, and was later pronounced dead on scene. The two injured occupants declined medical treatment at the scene. Furthermore, their current status has not yet been updated.
The identities of the victims have not been disclosed to the public at this time. An investigation of the crash is still currently ongoing. More details will eventually be released once made available. No further information has been given.
