1 Dead and 2 Hurt in Sacramento Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 15, 2020) – Last Monday, a person died and two others suffered injuries in a pile-up crash on 5 Freeway.
The incident happened when a big rig traveling on 5 Freeway crashed into the back of a dark-sedan. As a result of the initial crash, a chain-reaction occurred and involved more than six vehicles as it went to barrel down the freeway at a forceful speed.
Afterward, the oversized big rig overturned and blocked all of the southbound lanes.
The authorities confirmed that a person died in the pile-up. Meanwhile, two others sustained minor injuries.
Furthermore, the officers ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
