1 Dead and 2 Injured in Lompoc Car Crash on Highway 1
LOMPOC, CA (February 17, 2020) – A person died and 2 were seriously injured in a head-on crash on Highway 1 mid-evening on February 14.
The incident between a Mazda Miata and a sedan occurred around 6:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Santa Rosa Road.
A person was trapped in the wreckage and required major extrication by Santa Barbara County firefighters, as well as their colleagues from the Lompoc Fire Department.
Three AMR ambulances, a Calstar helicopter, and a county helicopter all responded for the incident.
The crash blocked both directions of Highway 1 between Jalama Road and Highway 246.
County coroner’s personnel also arrived on the scene.
