1 Killed and 2 Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 12 [Rio Vista, CA]

Passenger Dies after Two-Vehicle Collision near Summerset Road

RIO VISTA, CA (September 26, 2018) – One person was killed Wednesday evening and two others were injured following a head-on crash on Highway 12. The identities of the victims involved were not immediately available to the public.

According to the Rio Vista Police Department, the incident took place at about 9:05 PM between Summerset and Church Roads. For unknown reasons, a westbound car crossed into the opposite lane of the highway, colliding head-on with an eastbound vehicle.

The impact of the collision fatally injured a passenger in the westbound vehicle. Meanwhile, two other individuals were transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. There are no updates on their current medical conditions, and no other injuries were reported by the authorities.
