Angels Camp Two-Car Crash on Highway 4 Kills 2 People and Injures 2 Others
ANGELS CAMP, CA (October 01, 2019) — A crash on Highway 4 in Angels Camp killed one person and injured two others on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two cars collided at around 3 p.m. in a rural section of the highway. The area is near the intersection with Stockton Road.
One of the cars went down a 100-foot embankment as a result. Also, a person died at the scene as per the CHP.
The Calaveras County coroner also responded to the incident. However, they did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
On the other hand, medics transported two other people to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with unknown injuries.
In the meantime, the CHP closed Highway 4 during their investigation. They urge anyone with information related to the incident to call the CHP San Andreas Office at (209) 754-3541.
