Fiery 5-Vehicle Pileup on East Florence Avenue in Inglewood Turns Deadly
INGLEWOOD, CA (February 10, 2020) – One person died and two others were critically injured in a fiery pile-up crash Monday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4:40 p.m. along the 500 block of East Florence Avenue.
According to police, a pickup truck was making a left turn in the intersection before another vehicle broadsided it at high speed. One of the vehicles immediately caught fire before colliding into three other vehicles that were waiting at the stop light.
Sadly, one of the drivers involved died at the scene. Two others suffered critical injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Authorities did not release the identities of those involved.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
