1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Two-Car Crash at Gilman Springs Road and State Street [SAN JACINTO, CA]

Early Morning 2-Car Crash on Gilman Springs Road in San Jacinto Kills 1 Driver and Badly Injures Another

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (November 25, 2019) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured following a two-car crash early Monday morning in San Jacinto.
 
The crash happened around 3:42 a.m. at the intersection of Gilman Springs Road and State Street.
 
Authorities said a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling east on Gilman Springs Road, while a Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading west. The driver of the Camaro was driving at an unsafe speed as he tried to make a right turn. He crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed into the PT Cruiser.
 
The impact caused fatal injuries to the Camaro driver. Authorities only identified him as a 46-year-old man from San Jacinto.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of PT Cruiser, a 58-year-old Calimesa man, suffered major injuries. Paramedics took him to Riverside University Health Systems Hospital in an unknown condition.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the crash. They said drugs and alcohol have not been ruled out as contributing factors.
