Crash on 15 Freeway at Carroll Canyon Road Kills Female Driver, Injures Passenger

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 14, 2019) — A female driver died in a single-vehicle crash on 15 Freeway at Carroll Canyon Road Sunday early morning.
 
The crash occurred at about 1:18 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway. As per the California Highway Patrol, the woman lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle subsequently veered off the freeway and slammed into a tree and a light pole.
 
The woman died at the scene. A male passenger was with her during the crash. First responders took him to a hospital with unknown injuries.
