One Person Dies after Fatal Big Rig Crash on Sierra Highway in Palmdale

Palmdale, CA (September 1, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, one person died, and one other sustained injuries in a crash on Sierra Highway.

The fatal crash in Palmdale happened at around 2:20 p.m. on September 1 in the area of Sierra Highway and West Avenue N, near Palmdale Regional Airport.

LAFD said the collision involved a truck and a dark-colored sedan. 

One person in the sedan died at the scene.

Moreover, EMS transported one injured patient with unknown injuries. It is still unknown which vehicle that person occupied.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation to determine the cause of this fatal crash is ongoing.
