Spanaway, WA (February 24, 2024) On Thursday morning, a person died and another was hurt in a disastrous head-on collision on SR 7.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the deadly 2-vehicle crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. on State Route 7 near Weiler Road East.

Reports say that a pickup and a sedan were involved in the fatal collision. Officials say that the pickup driver attempted to pass traffic and hit a sedan.

Officials say that the pickup driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the sedan driver was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
