1 Dead and 1 Hurt in Ojai Auto Accident on Maricopa Highway
OJAI, CA (October 13, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a person died and another suffered injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Maricopa Highway.
The incident occurred at about 4:12 p.m. on Maricopa Highway, north of Wheeler Springs. According to reports, the crash involved only one vehicle.
Then, responders declared one person dead at the scene. Then, a helicopter transported another one via helicopter to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries. Officers confirmed that the person sustained severe injuries.
Also, officers revealed that the vehicle landed on its roof in a ditch about 10 feet off the roadway.
Furthermore, the crash shut down the northbound lanes of Highway 33 as CHP officers investigated.
